Driving Discovery and Innovation in Menopause Health

Menopause is a significant yet understudied phase of life that affects half the population and influences long-term health in profound ways—shaping risks for conditions like Alzheimer’s, osteoporosis, and heart disease. Despite its importance–women now spend one-third of their lives in menopause–the biology of menopause has been largely ignored.

The Menopause Health Engineering initiative brings together experts in engineering, biomedical science, and medicine to address this gap. Our goal is to uncover how menopause influences aging-related diseases and to drive new approaches to research, diagnostics, and treatment.
